Every tool gets a score out of 10 based on four things.
Our scoring
- Output quality (40%): how good the results are for the tool's main job.
- Ease of use (20%): how quickly a new user gets value.
- Features (20%): depth, integrations, collaboration and API access.
- Value (20%): what you get for the price, including free plans.
What the scores mean
- 9.0+ Outstanding: a category leader.
- 8.0–8.9 Excellent: a strong choice for most people.
- 7.0–7.9 Good: worth it for the right use case.
- Below 7 Niche: useful for specific needs.
Keeping it current
AI tools change fast. We re-check pricing and features regularly and update scores when tools improve or slip. Spotted something out of date? Tell us.
Independence
Tool makers can't pay for a higher score. Affiliate commissions and featured placements don't affect rankings, and sponsored content is always labelled.
